摘要: p63基因是肿瘤抑制基因p53家族的成员之一,与p53基因有高度的同源性。基因结构复杂,有两个不同的启动子和多种内含子剪接方式,能编码多种亚型的蛋白质,而这些p63蛋白在不同的组织不同的发育阶段发挥着不同的生物学作用。文章就p63基因的结构、功能及其与肿瘤的关系作一综述。

Abstract: p63 gene is one of tumor suppressor gene p53 family members. It displays high homology to p53 gene. The structure of p63 is more complex than p53. It has two different promoters and many different introns splicing modes, p63 gene encodes many kinds of p63 isoform proteins. These p63 isoforms perform their diverse biological functions in different tissues and different developmental phases. This paper introduces researching progress of p63 genetic structure, biological functions and the relationships with tumors.
