Abstract: The polymorphisms of estrogen receptor (ESR) and follicle-stimulating hormone β (FSHβ) genes in 84 Landrace pigs were detected with PCR-RFLP method and the relationship between reproductive performance and different genotypes (include single gene and combined gene) in this study. The results showed that ESR and FSHβ genes could be divided into AA, AB and BB genotypes, and the pattern types of ESR and FSHβ genes were fit with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. Single gene analysis showed that reproductive performances with AB genotype were significantly higher than AA genotype in ESR gene, and AB genotype was the beneficial genotype in ESR gene. In first farrowing sow, the reproductive performances with BB, AA and AB genotypes increased gradually, and in multiparous sow, reproductive performances with AA genotype were higher than others, but the difference was not significant. Combined gene analysis showed that the effect of combined genotype was not simple sum of single genotype. In the third parity which reproductive performances had already stable, reproductive performances with AA-AB combined genotype were lower than other combined genotypes. So this combined genotype was detrimental combined genotype and should be culled in marker-assisted selection.
