Genetic Polymorphism Analysis of KAP7 Gene in 3 Goat Breeds

Abstract: The polymerase chain reaction-single strand conformation polymorphism (PCR-SSCP) was used to detect the polymorphism of keratin associated protein 7 (KAP7) in Shanbei White cashmere goat,Taihang Black goat and Nanjiang White cashmere goat. The results showed that the KAP7 presented AA and AB genetypes in these three breeds,AA genetype was the dominant genetypes. The PCR production of different genotype of KAP7 were purified and sequnenced. One mutation,129 bp(C→G) was found in KAP7. This mutation site was in 5' regulatory region.
