Abstract: To investigate the effect of Seriphidium (Bess) Poljakin the Nanshan area, Shihezi, Xinjiang province on immunologic function of the normal and cyclophosphamide-induced hypoimmunitymice mice, the spleen index was studied by the organ coefficient method; the number of T lymphocyte of the spleen was studied by ANAE method; the phagocytic function of the peritoneal macrophages was studied by R-J stain method; the proliferation of spleen lymphocyte was studied by the MTT method; the antibody secretion was studied by ELISA method of the resistance of mycoplasma antibodies; the anti infection ability of the pathogenic Escherichia coli was studied by the Escherichia coli tapping poison test method. The results showed that Seriphidium decoction could improve positive rates of ANAE of T lymphocyte and phagocytic rates of the abdominal macrophage cell in the normal and cyclophosphamide-induced hypoimmunity mice; Seriphidium decoction could improve proliferative abilities of spleen lymphocyte on the normal mice; low dose of Seriphidium decoction could improve resistance to infection of Escherichia coli; high dose of Seriphidium decocion could decrease serum antibody titer and spleen index in the normal mice. In short, Seriphidium decoction could enhance immunological fuction on the cyclophosphamide-induced hypoimmunity mice; and had a two-way effect on the immunologic function of the normal mice. The results of the study provided the basis for the further development of immune regulator of Seriphidium.
