Abstract: The study was aimed to identify the virulent strain CCGGD201101 isolated from dead chicks of a chick farm in Jilin province and determine its pathogenicity. The suspected pathogens were identified by means of physiological and biochemical tests and 16S rDNA sequencing. The median lethal dose to Kunming mice was determined to verify bacterial virulence. The results showed that this strain was Acinetobacter baumannii. The half lethal dose was determined with Acinetobacter baumannii CCGGD201101 as target while Acinetobacter baumannii standard strain (ATCC 19606) as control. The pathogenicity of Acinetobacter baumannii strain CCGGD201101 was further confirmed.
