Abstract: To find out the current situation of the viral diarrhea of swine in China recent years, the multiplex RT-PCR method was used to detect the samples of diarrhea pigs and clinical health pigs collected from 13 provinces and cities. The results were showed in the samples of diarrhea pigs, the positive rates of TGEV, PEDV and ARV were 2.65%, 24.49% and 3.20%, respectively. More specially, the positive rates of TGEV, PEDV and ARV were 3.11%, 14.83% and 1.67% respectively in the intestinal tissue samples; 2.80%, 28.42% and 4.86% respectively in the faeces samples and 1.08%, 31.89% and 0.54% respectively in the milk of the sow. The detection results of the healthy pigs showed that there were still infections of PEDV and ARV, and the positive rate of PEDV was 2.13% in weaned pigs, the positive rate of ARV was 1.42% in weaned pigs and 12.86% in suckle pigs. Conclusively, PED was the major cause of swine viral diarrhea in China at present, and PEDV and TGEV might infect young pigs latently, and all the virus of these three diarrheal diseases could be spread though milk of sow.
