Abstract: One of the main pathogens of humans and animals was Streptococcus agalactiae, which could cause disease such as meningitis, pneumonia and septicemia. At the moment, the major pathogenic factors of Streptococcus agalactiae had been found including capsular polysaccharide, hemolysin, hyaluronidase, CAMP factor, superoxide dismutase, serine-threonine protein kinase and so on. A few kinds of pathogenic factors above were reviewed, in which some of the research progress about the pathogenic and pathogenesis of Streptococcus agalactiae at home and abroad in recent years were also introduced.
