Research Advances in Haemophilus parasuis Disease

Abstract: Swine polyserositis, polyarthritis caused by Haemophilus parasuis has occurred in most parts of our country in recent years. It has caused serious harm to piglets and young pigs and brought huge economic losses to the pig industry. The disease has become one of the most important bacterial diseases of pigs worldwide at present. Serotypes of Haemophilus parasuis were complex, Haemophilus parasuis was hard to isolate. In order to know it wholly, this paper summarized the etiology, pathological changes, epidemiology, pathogenic factor, diagnostic method and immune prevention of Haemophilus parasuis.
