Abstract: In this single-factor experiment, one hundred and twenty Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire crossbred weaning piglets with average weight (7.64 ± 0.13) kg were chosen to study the effects of pulsatilla powder of Chinese herbal medicine(150,300 mg/kg) and pulsatilla saponin (12.5,25 mg/kg) on the growth performance of weaning piglets, and find the optimum additive amount. The piglets were randomly allocated to 6 groups with 4 replicates of 5 piglets each replicate. The trial lasted 28 days and involved 2 periods (0 to 14 days is earlier stage and 15 to 28 days is later stage). The results indicated that diets supplemented with 300 mg / kg pulsatilla powder can improve average daily gain and feed intake of weaning piglets, and decrease feed conversion ratio and diarrhea rates effectively.
