Abstract: Reproductive rhythm was formed and fixed in the process of long evolution in mammals and some genes were identified to be related with the rhythm of reproductive seasonality, which supported mammals to maximize reproductive success and avoid breeding during inappropriate conditions. This review briefly introduced the relationships between Clock, Leptin, RFamide-related peptide genes and reproductive rhythm in mammals.
