Serological Detection and Analysis of Toxoplasma gondii Infection in Dogs in Lanzhou

Abstract: In order to find the infection information of Toxoplasma gondii infection in dogs in Lanzhou and the different detection results in different test methods. 272 dogs from veterinary surgeons were detected to find the masccline of Toxoplasma and the detection rates were statistical analysed; 66 pieces of blood sample were detected by indirect hemagglutination test and enzyme-linked immunosorbent test, the two methods were compared. The results showed that there was a relationship between the infection of Toxoplasma and the age of dogs, the infection rats increased corresponding to the increasing of age, the infection rate was 3.77% in less than one years old dogs, 10.59% in one to three years dogs, 15.28% in three to five years dogs, 22.58% in more than five years dogs. There were no significant deviation in different gender(P>0.05); there was no significant deviation in detection results of HA and ELISA through t test comparison(P>0.05). The method of IHA was applied to epidemiological study in large scale.
