Abstract:

A H5N1 subtype avian influenza virus isolated from duck belongs to high pathogenic avian influenza virus. HA and NA gene of the solated strain shares 98.8% and 98.7% nucleotide sequence identity to the HA gene of A/duck/VietNam/Ncvd1/2002(H5N1) and the NA gene of A/duck/VietNam/Ncvd1/2002(H5N1) and A/chicken/Jiangsu/cz1/2002(H5N1), and shares 99. 3% and 98.7% amino acid sequence identity to the HA protein of A/duck/Viet Nam/Ncvd1/2002(H5N1) and the NA protein of A/chicken/Jiangsu/cz1/2002(H5N1). There is several continuous basic amino acid(PQREIRRKKR*G) at the cleavage site of HA protein show its a high pathogenic avian influenza virus, and compared with the other influenza viruses the isolated strain has no difference in Nglycosylation sites. Phylogenetic trees analysis of HA and NA gene suggests that the isolated influenza virus probably originated from the A/duck/Viet Nam/Ncvd1/2002(H5N1).
