Abstract: Genetic diversity of Pinghu royal jelly bee and Suwang No.1 bee were evaluated with 6 microstaellite loci, the genetic variability within breeds and genetic differentiation between breeds were estimated, the results showed that in 6 microstaellite loci, the 40 alleles were found, the number of alleles per locus ranged from 4 to 10, the average expected heterozygosity and PIC of all loci were 0.5078 and 0.4708 respectively. Mean numbers of effective alleles of Pinghu royal jelly bee and Suwang No.1 bee were 0.4981 and 0.5007, inbreeding index(FST), Reynolds' genetic distance and gene flow between two populations were 0.037,0.03770 and 6.507 respectively, these results indicated that the heterozygosity and the genetic diversity of two bee populations were very high.
