摘要: 反刍时间(rumination time,RT)是衡量奶牛健康状况的一个重要指标。近期研究结果表明,奶牛发情当天RT与非发情时相比显著下降。基于这样的研究结果,奶牛RT的变化可成为发情鉴定的一个新指标。作者就奶牛RT的变化与发情的关系,以及这种发情鉴定方法在奶牛生产中的应用前景进行综述,以期为提高奶牛生产效率提供依据。

Abstract: Rumination time (RT) was an important indicator to evaluate health in dairy cattle. Recent researches showed that daily RT at estrus significantly reduced compared with that on nonestrus days. Based on this results, RT could be acted as a new method of heat detection in dairy cattle. In the article, the relation between daily RT and estrus, as well as the application prospects of the potential heat detection method, were reviewed in order to improve the production efficiency of dairy cattle.
