Abstract: The growth of hair is associated intimately with hair follicle morphogenesis and cyclical variation, hair follicle morphogenesis and cyclical variation depend on intensive interactions between epithelial keratinocytes and dermis mesenchymal cells. The paper reviewed the structure, morphogenesis and cyclical variation of hair follicle, discussed the effect of signal factors on the progress of hair follicle morphogenesis and cyclical variation. The paper aims to not only provide foundation for elaborating regulatory mechanisms of hair follicle morphogenesis and cyclical variation at the molecular level, but also provide reference for the increase of cashmere's production and quality.
