Compound Supplement of Beneficial Bacteria and Traditional Chinese Medicine on Growth Performance and Blood Biochemical Values of Rabbits

Abstract: To study compound supplement of beneficial bacteria and traditional Chinese medicine on growth performance of rabbits,thirty 70-80-day old German white rabbits with same initial body weight were randomly divided into two groups,control group and experimental group.In experimental group, their basal diets supplemented with 3% of the beneficial bacteria and traditional Chinese medicine compound preparation,which the mixtures were feed for 42 days.The results showed that the feed conversion rate was increased 39.34%,the diarrhea rate was decreased 80%, and the mortality was decreased 75% in experimental groups.There were no significant difference on the slaughter indicators in two groups, and there was no poisoning symptom in experimental group;compared with the control group,the contents of arginine and ammonia of leg muscle were increased significantly in experimental group,but the levels of protein and amino acid were increased,but were not significantly.There was significant improvement in the total serum protein and serum glucose, and the total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein were decreased.Adding compound supplement of beneficial bacteria and traditional Chinese medicine in rabbit’s diets was helpful to improve the feed palatability,increase the feed conversion rate, regulate blood fat, improve quality and taste of rabbit meat.
