Abstract: The 7 microsatellite markers on chromosomes X were used to construct a linkage map of Cashmere goats with a 794 members half-sib pedigrees after paternity testing. The results showed that the number of alleles for 7 markers was 9 to 14, the heterozygosity was 0.585 to 0.918, the average heterozygosity was 0.726, and polymorphic information content (PIC) was 0.759 to 0.897, the average polymorphic information content was 0.834. Length of the linkage map of chromosome X we built was 139.4 cM, and the sequence of loci was coincident with the SM4.7, and could be used in quantitative trait loci (QTL) searching in Cashmere goats.
