Abstract: Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a kind of growth factor specially acting on vascular endothelial cell. It is a functional protein for promoting activity of angiogenesis. Recently, VEGF was found to play a role in follicle growth. Angiogenesis happens during the periodic change of follicle growth. The author reviewed the research advancement of angiogenesis around follicle and regulation mechanism of VEGF on the process.
