Studeies on Selenium Contents of the Meat in Local Sheldrakes Stocked in Selenium- rich Land

Abstract: In this study, local sheldrakes were randomly arranged two groups, one of which were stocked in selenium- rich land and fed with selenium- rich rice, and the other group were stocked in seleniumless land and fed with compound feed. Then determine the amount of selenium in pectoral muscle and leg muscle of all sheldrakes. The results indicated that the amount of selenium in muscle of sheldrakes, stocked in selenium- rich land and fed with selenium- rich rice, was extremely higher than that of the other group (P<0.01). 
