Immunohistochemical Localization of FSHR and LHR on Porcine Uterus

Abstract: To study the distribution and localization of FSHR and LHR in the porcine uterus. The localization of FSHR and LHR in uterus during the follicular phase and the luteal phase were determined by immunohistochemical ABC techniques. The results showed that FSHR-immunoreactive substance was mainly distributed in endometrial epithelial cell and vascular smooth muscle cell. LHR-immunoreactive substance was mainly distributed in endometrial epithelial cell, myometrial smooth muscle cell and vascular smooth muscle cell. The expression of FSHR and LHR is dependent on the stage of the estrus cycle. The expression of FSHR in endometrial epithelial cell is higher during the follicular phase than that during the luteal phase, but is lower for the expression of FSHR in vascular smooth muscle cell than that during the luteal phase. The expression of LHR in vascular smooth muscle cell is higher during the follicular phase than that during the luteal phase, but the expression of LHR in endometrial epithelial cell and myometrial smooth muscle cell are all lower than those during the luteal phase.
