Abstract: The objective of this study was to produce multi-valent egg yolk immunoglobulin(IgY) against mastitis and detect the content of specific IgY. IgY was produced by immunizing laying hens with the mixture of formaldehyde killed Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae and Escherichia coli, and was isolated from yolk by water dilution. Titer and content of specific IgY was detected by ELISA. The highest titer of the multi-valent antibody against Escherichia coli was 25600, that against Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus agalactiae was both 12800. The content of specific IgY in yolk against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus agalactiae was 2.13,2.01 and 1.92 mg/mL, respectively. The varying trend of specific IgY content accorded to that of IgY titer.
