Abstract: As a new molecular biology technique, the loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) has the advantages of easy to operate,no need of specialized devices, low cost, short reaction time and so on.It has higher sensitivity and specificity than the common molecular biology techniques. It has been widely used in rapid and early infection by variety of pathogens including bacteria, virus and mycoplasmas. We reviewed the research progress on LAMP techniques and the diagnostic applications in the bacteria, viruses,Mycoplasma and other pathogens at home and abroad,so as to understand the advantages and disadvantages of LAMP and application situation, and provide a reference for its widespread application in the future.

Key words: loop-mediated isothermal amplification(LAMP); pathogen; detection
