Abstract: This experiment was conducted to study the effects of different feed types including self-made wheat type feed, corn type feed, commercial formula feed on the growth performance of fattening pigs. A contrast experiment design was adopted, and a total of 108 fatting pigs were randomly assigned into four treatments with three replicates and nine pigs per replicate. A group was fed corn-based and A premix feed, B group was fed wheat-based and wheat-specific B premix feed, C group was provided corn-based and C premix feed, D group was fed compound feed of D. The experiment lasted for 31 days.The results showed that there were no significant differences in the average daily feed intake, daily gain and feed to gain ratio among these groups (P>0.05). A group showed no significant difference (P>0.05) compared with groups B, C, D on feed costs, respectively. At the same time, B group showed significant influence compared with groups C and D (P<0.05). And there was no significant influence between groups C and D (P>0.05). In conclusion, group B had the lowest feed cost to weight gain and it got 473.07 yuan per pig.
