Abstract: The polymorphisms of Alu Ⅰ site at extron 10 of prolactin receptor (PRLR) gene in Yorkshire, Landrace and Duroc populations from Taiwan were detected with PCR-RFLP method, meanwhile the total number born (TNB), number born alive (NBA), number of alive weaning litter (NW), body weight of litter (BWL), weaning weight of litter (WWL) and weaning survive rate of different genotypes from the first to the third parity were measured, and then the relationship between reproductive performance and different genotypes were analyzed in this article. The results showed that the polymorphic sites of PRLR gene were found in all three breeds, in addition, the dominant genotype was AA genotype in Yorkshire, Landrace and Duroc. Relativity analysis indicated that reproductive trait of AA genotype of Yorkshire from the first to the third parity was on the whole higher compared with AB and BB genotypes. AA genotype of Yorkshire in the third parity produced 0.31 TNB, 0.63 NBA, 0.02 NW, 0.65 kg BWL and 0.43% weaning survive rate more than BB genotype, while there was no significant difference between them.
