Abstract: Bluetongue disease virus, double-stranded RNA, a member of Orbivirus genus within Reoviridae family, consisting of 10 segments of different sizes nucleic acid (L1 to L3, M4 to M6 and S7 to S10) with seven structural proteins(VP1 to VP7)and four non-structural proteins(NS1, NS2, NS3a, NS3b). The functions and sizes of the proteins encoded by the 10 segments nucleic acid, has been determined by the vitro translation of the genome dsRNA and expression and functional characterization.
