Abstract: In the long period of time, the research of cell differentiation process, especially for lineages of stem cells and the difference of their function, mainly focused on the regulation of gene transcription level. However, as increasing numbers of researches indicated that epigenetic mechanism (DNA methylation, chromatin remodeling, genomic imprinting, chromosome inactivation, non-coding RNA, etc.) has significant impact on the mammalian development, embryonic cells differentiation and proliferation of cancer cells, in which DNA methylation is the most common form. In this paper, research shows how DNA methelation impacts on transcription of DNA, molecular regulation, neuronal development and genetic.
