Research Progress on Avian Pathogenic Escherichia coli

Abstract: Avian colibacillosis is one of the major bacterial diseases that caused by multiple serotypes of avian pathogenic Escherichia.coli (APEC) and a disease of severe economic significance to all poultry industry worldwide. The latest subgroup, pathotype, niche, virulence factors and pathogenesis of APEC were reviewed in this paper. Moreover, the future trended to prevent and control avian colibacillosis effectivenessly in the future also.
