Abstract: The single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) in exon 2 and part of intron 2 of H-FABP gene in 96 individuals from Black cattle were detected by PCR-SSCP methods and sequencing analysis technique. The results showed that there were two SNPs in intron 2 at primer 2 and primer 4, no variance at primer 1 and primer 3. Three genotypes (AA, AB, BB) determined by SNP at 323 (G→A) were detected using primer 2.Their genotype frequencies were 0.448, 0.146, 0.406, which were no in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium with chi-aquare analysis. Statistical analysis revealed an intermediate polymorphism information content (PIC) in Black cattle. Three genotypes (HH, Hh, hh) determined by SNP at 872 (C→G) were detected using primer 4.Their genotype frequencies were 0.104, 0.417, 0.479, which were in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium with chi-aquare analysis. Statistical analysis revealed an intermediate polymorphism information content (PIC) in Black cattle.
