Abstract: Genetic factors strongly determine the difference of susceptibility and resistance to pathogen infection between animals. Uncovering the complex genetic basis of this natural mechanism, clone and identify host resistance-relevant genes is requested;study the mechanism from gene level is needed, thus we can prevent and control diseases efficiently. We review the meaning, method, category, distribution, molecular basis and prospect of host resistance-relevant genes to pathogen infection respectively.
