Taking Physical Cooling Measures to Protect Dairy Cows from Heat Stress

Abstract: Heat stress has become the major challenge for global dairy cow industries. Countries are all actively mobilizing the strength of scientific research and technology to solve the global problems, and have made some progress. At the same time, dairy farms also have work out successful experience through repeatedly practice. Physical cooling measures are currently considered to be the most effective measures to relieve the effects of cow heat stress. This article discusses about heat stress of dairy cow and the principle and use of physical cooling measures from cow health perspective, in order to choose the most appropriate measures.
