Abstract: In this study, genetic diversity was analyzed by using BL1038,BM757,BM4621,OarFCB304,OarFCB48 these five microsatellite markers in Small-tailed Han sheep. The results showed that there were 57 alleles in the five microsatellite loci of Small-tailed Han sheep. The number of effective alleles (Ne) were between 5.7315 and 12.3025 in Small-tailed Han sheep. The average number of effective alleles of five microsatellite loci was 7.4888. The highest number of effective allele of OarFCB48 was 12.3025. The average heterozygosity of five microsatellite loci was 0.8559. The heterozygosity of OarFCB48 was the highest was 0.9187. The PIC content of OarFCB48 was the highest which could be 0.9130 and BM757 was the lowest which was only 0.8091, 0.8439 for the average PIC.The reseach showed that the polymorphism information content of Small-tailed Han sheep was higher and it could provide the scientific basis for conservation and utilization breeds of sheep.
