Abstract: The susceptibility test of Florfenicol and Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride on six strains of Escherichia coli and Salmonella was carried out by the broth dilution checkerboard method in order to study the combined antibacterial effect in clinical application in vitro. The results suggested that the MIC of single drug on the standard strains of Escherichia coli and Salmonella was 1 to 8 μg/mL, on the clinical strains was 64-128 μg/mL. The FIC of drug combination was 0.5, 0.75, 1.5, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0; there were four strains appeared additive effect while the other two strains appeared synergistic and irrelevant effect.
