Supplements of Substitute for Antibiotics in Ruminant

Abstract: Harm of antibiotics has aroused popular attention of people,and finding supplements which can take place of antibiotics has become a hot spot of animal research. This article described the hazard and residue of antibiotics in ruminant production. And appliance of some substitutes for antibiotics,such as,probiotics,plant extracts (tannins,saponin,essential oil),enzyme,organic acid,antibiotic peptide and oligosaccharides,and their function mechanisms,as well as status,were discussed in this review.
