Studying on Quantitative Determination of Chlorogenic Acid in Eucommia Leaves

Abstract: This test was aimed to establish the method of determining chlorogenic acid in Eucommia Leaves by uv spectrophotometry. Main factors influencing the extraction of chlorogenic acid from the Eucommia Leaves were studied by single factor experiments and used uv spectrophotometry determine the chlorogenic acid’quantitative.The results showed that the detective wavelength was set at 324 nm，there was a good linear relationship in the range of 2～20 μg for chlorogenic acid，r=0.9999. The mean recovery rate of chlorogenic acid was 100.646%，and RSD% was 1.445%(n=5).Therefore,this method was quick and accurate with good repeatability and could be used for the quality control of Eucommia leaf.
