Abstract: The H7N3 strain of avian influenza virus (AIV) was inoculated into chicken embryo, collected 72 h embryo fulid, after which it was inactivated and made into oil adjuvant vaccine. The antigen, physical characteristic, safety, efficacy, dosage were tested, according to the requirement of new biological product. Results showed the inactived vaccine was safe; its physical characterization was also fit for the requirement of the oil-adjuvant vaccine. 6 weeks later, the HI antibody rose to 29.4.The all vaccined poultry acquired protection challenged with AIV-H7N3 strain when HI antibody rose to 25, and the best immue dosage was 0.5 mL for each chick. The above results suggest that the vaccine can be used to prevent the epidemic of AIV-H7N3.
