Abstract: To enrich the basical genetic information and explore the sequence structure and the regulation mechanism of muscle differentiation in local excellent variety Longlin goat MyoG gene. A pair of primers was designed to amplify the sequence of MyoG gene from Longlin goat genome. The results showed that the sequence of MyoG gene with 2419 bp consisted of 3 exon, 2 intron and some of 5'and 3'untranslated regions. With 675 bp coding sequences, encoding a total of 224 amino acids, and the peptide chain had not signal peptide and transmembrane structure.Homology analysis showed, comparing the coding sequences and coding amino acids of Longlin goat MyoG with other species, the cluster result was similar to the phylogenetic tree. Both showed that Longlin goat and sheep, cattle, wild boar were closest relative, the homology of amino acid sequences between them was above 95%. So the mammalian MyoG gene was conservative in evolution, and cloning, sequence analysis and structure prediction of Longlin goat MyoG gene provided the biological information and theoretical basis for researching the gene expression and regulation, improving the muscle quality and developing goats breed.
