Abstract: Instead of antibiotics, 8 strains of bacillus were fed to 1-day-aged chicken to 35-day-aged as additive. Chicken average daily gain during the 35 days long feed revealed that 2 among these strains feeding were markedly higher than the control, and the effect accumulated with the time. Further test revealed the bacteria clones of all the test chicken cecum were apparently different from the control, their aerobic clones and lactobacillus clones decreased by 1 or 2 order of magnitude respectively compared with that of the control.
