Abstract: Mitochondrial permeability transition pore (MPTP) is a non-selective inner membrane channel located in mitochondrion.MPTP triggers mitochondrial permeability transition, resulting in the release of apoptotic factor ,for example cytochrome C,apoptosis inducing factor (AIF),Ca2+ and procaspase, cell structure destroyed and function disordered , finally apoptosis. Formerly,MPT is considered the key for cell apoptosis, but the recent research show there is no evitable relationship. The review focuses on the biological function of MPT,adenine nucleotide translocatar(ANT),Cyp D and the relationship of orientation, distribution of Bcl-2 family with MPT.
