Abstract: Meat quality traits are closely related with gene expression has been accepted as the rapid development of molecular biology, some major candidate genes which affect meat quality traits have been excavated.Regulating meat quality by gene expression has become a hot topic in recent years. This paper summarizes the research progress on some major candidate genes of meat quality, such as Leptin, LEPR,Adiponectin, AdipoR,LPL and FoxO1.

Key words: pig; meat quality; Leptin; LEPR; Adiponectin; AdipoR; LPL; FoxO1
