Abstract: In this study, different cultivation methods of Haemophilus parasuis fermention were investigated to improve the biomass of Haemophilus parasuis. The batch fermentation of Haemophilus parasuis was analyzed, and constant rate feeding and pH-stat feeding were used in fed-batch fermentation of Haemophilus parasuis. The colony-forming units were increased to 1.6×1010 CFU/mL in Haemophilus parasuis fermentation with application of constant rate feeding fed-batch fermentation. The results indicated that the biomass of Haemophilus parasuis was apparently increased by using fed-batch fermentation, which was 3 to 4 times more than the batch fermentation.
