Cloning and Sequence Analysis of Huacuya Alpacas KIT Gene Exon2

Abstract: Alpaca as a kind of high quality economic animal, its colour of the research could provide a theoretical basis for improving the alpaca economic value. KIT gene was selected to investigate the relationship of KIT gene exon2 with coat color of alpacas, and to analyze the homology to other animals by using RT-PCR.The results showed that the sequence homolog was higher than cows and goats,could be up to 96%, coded amino acids were higher, reaching 98%, while the homologies of human and mouse were lower, only 78% and 57%. The results could provide theoretical basis for accelerating the progress of Huacuya alpacas breeding.
