Abstract: Pig has been an important biologic model of scientific research over the years. Transgenic pigs also have extremely important effects in biologic model, organ transplantation, animal breed breeding, and so on. There are several problems for the transgenic cloned pigs, such as low successful rate and live rate. The induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) technology has wide and amazing application in regenerative medicine and animal husbandry while this technology has not deeply used in pig transgenic research. Here, we briefly review the transgenic technology, iPSCs technology, and the application of the iPSCs technology in the researches of transgenic cloned pigs for providing some references for researchers working in the fields.
