New Reasearch Progress on Buffalo Nutrition

Abstract: Buffalo played an important role in the agricultural industry of southern of China. All most of buffaloes in China classified to swamp buffalo and employed as a draft power in rural. With the development of mechanical industry,the usage of buffalo was transferred from draught animals to meat and milk animals. The author reviewed the advance of buffalo nutrition in the past 20 years from nutritional requirement,feedstuff utilization,ruminal microorganism and fermentation,nutrition and reproduction and nutritional regulation of milk and meat of buffaloes.
