Abstract: This experiment studied the growth and development rules of Jilin geese feather(eiderdown). 15 geese were selected randomly on the 34th, 44th, 54th and 64th day. After those geese were slaughtered by means of the neck bloodletting, the feathers of abdomen, wing, back and tail were collected. The main measurement included the length of feather axis, feather sticks, feather roots and down. The results showed that the down, the weather sticks and the feather axis in the same parts have the same growth trend, while the feather roots have the opposite growth trend, and the feather in different parts had different growth rate.
