Abstract: According to the conserved sequence in the matrix (M) gene of influenza A virus published in GenBank,a pair of primers for amplification influenza A virus specified fragment were designed and a RT-PCR assay for detection influenza A virus among pigs was established. The results showed that the RT-PCR was sensitive and specific, and useful to detect the clinical samples. It is the foundation for clinical diagnosis and epidemiologic survey of influenza A virus circulating in swine herds.
