Abstract: 200 one-day-old commercial generation AA broilers were randomly divided into four groups. In addition to the control group(Cu 11 mg/kg),three experimental groups were set up,they were groups of 110,330 and 550 mg/kg respectively. All of the experimental broilers were fed with corn-soybean meal for 50 days, and effect of high-copper diets on liver antioxidant function and liver cell apoptosis of broilers were assayed. The results showed that 3 high copper group of SOD and GSH-Px increased compensatorily, consequently, a performance of decline;and MDA compensatory increased. With time prolonging and the content of copper increasing, liver cell apoptosis rate rise and DNA fracture strip obviously appeared. It showed that daily ration of copper content 330 mg/kg or more could cause liver antioxidant function was impaired, liver cell apoptosis rate increased.
