Pathogenesis, Diagnosis and Treatment of Canine Pyometra

Abstract:

yometra is a common disease of canine. The majority of canine pyometra incidence was observed in metoestrus.It can be classified as open-cervix and closed-cervix. Pyometra is a uterine inflammatory disorder characterized by cystic endometrial hyperplasia, the increasing of progesterone and the release of estrogen, and by ascending uterine infection with vaginal bacteria. In this article, the etiology, diagnosis and treatment of canine pyometra were reviewed.
