The Study on Iron Dextran Treated Calf Anemia

Abstract: Iron dextran treated calf anemia were studied in this article,the author detected concentration of hemoglobin, cholesterol, malonaldehyde(MDA), catalane(CAT), in order to validate therapeutic efficacy of iron dextran.The results showed that hemoglobin and ferrous ion concentration were significantly higher in experimental group compare to control group (P<0.05); cholesterol and MDA were significantly lower in experimental group compare to control group (P<0.01); but the concentration of CAT were significantly higher in experimental group compare to control group(P <0.05).Therefore, iron dextran significantly increased ferrous ion concentration and hemoglobin level，meanwhile corrected oxidative stress because of iron deficiency. There might be good effect for calf anemia with iron dextran.
