Abstract: This experiment was based on investigating the reproductive function of male animals treated with Ivermectin, in order to provide the basis for clinical safe medication and animal breeding. We chose the adult male rats as the experimental model, all of them were divided into 0.17 mg/kg (low dose group), 3 mg/kg (middle dose group) and 5 mg/kg (high dose group) groups, which were fed with Ivermectin of the corresponding dose, and control group was fed with saline instead of ivermectin. After 24 hours of the last administration, all the rats were executed to take testis and epididymis for analyzing the toxicity of the reproductive system. The results showed that there was a reproductive toxicity on testis and epididymis when the dose of ivermectin was over 3 mg/kg; Testis coefficient and epididymis were affected, such as the density and alive rate of the sperm were decreased, but the sperm viability was not influenced, and no results showed correlation with Ivermectin dosage in all groups.
