Annual Review of Ruminant Nutrition in 2008-2009Ⅶ.Minerals

Abstract: As the necessary nutrient of ruminant, mineral element impact on the performance and health. Research advance of mineral elements from 2008 to 2009 has been reviewed in this article. The major elements are calcium, phosphorus and the trace elements are selenium, copper, manganese and molybdenum in recent research. The contents of research are involved in the effects of mineral elements on ruminant growth and development, the maintenance of physiological function, rumen fermentation, milk yield and product quality, immune function.
